When Weston Sings About Pumpkins & Melts My Heart

We put Weston in pre-school part time about a month ago. We’ve been over the moon with whole experience (more on that later).

Last week he had his 1st class party and performance and I just about melted. If littles in costumes are not cute enough littles in costume singing about pumpkins is enough to send you over the edge!

I brought our vlogging camera along to his party and for part of the Halloween performance. This is one of those vlogs I know we’ll look back at in 10 years a be glade we have.

Seriously was that not the cutest thing?

Let me show you something that’s not so cute.

20161103_163350I was looking through the online photo classroom gallery from the party when I saw THIS!

Y’ALL!
OH. MY. GOSH.

This gem right here was included with all the other sweet photos of Weston’s classmates enjoying the festivities with their parents, looking all sweet and happy them BOM!
Seriously this photo needs a warning before allowing parents to view it because it just about knocked the wind right out of me.

I was in charge of party games which didn’t make it into the vlog because I was busy making sure the kids didn’t knock each other out with pumpkins.
From the looks of it I was taking my job pretty seriously.

I keep looking at it shaking my head and cracking up. That’s all we can really do here friends.

See you guys on Monday for our 1st full week of “NaBloPoMo” post.

Note: I’m joining the “National Blog Post Month” challenge and will be blogging Monday-Friday for the month of November! I’m so tickled you’re here! Be sure to subscribe through Bloglovin’ or by email (over in the side bar) so you don’t miss a post.

  • Kelsey - That picture of you is killing me! But that’s totally my luck with pictures too. I’m WAY to expressive and people always get the beeeesssst angles (eye roll).

Weston’s school and teachers seem so awesome! Loved the parade!ReplyCancel

    • Kendra Huie - Oh my lanta that picture! His teacher passed the camera over to a parent to take photos during the party. I wish I could have seen his face when he was looking through the pictures that he snapped. Either he thought it was awesome or he’s trying to get back at me for something. I’m pretty sure I did a retake of that same face when I saw it pop up on my computer.ReplyCancel

  • Nicole - Classic!!! I love that you shared the class photo of you. It made me crack up, but also let’s me know that you must be a super animated and fun mama/helper. I teach kinder, and since becoming a mama 2 years ago, I now know how special these crazy party days are. Weston is ADORABLE!!!ReplyCancel

    • Kendra Huie - Bwhaha pretty sweet photo huh? I plan to wear a paper bag with eye and mouth holes to the next party just to be safe. 😉

Thank you for your sweet words about my boys!ReplyCancel

  • Mona - The video is so precious! It is true that the days are long but the years are short. (My girls are 13 and 15) I know you document with project life (me,too! My girls love to pull out albums and look through them!) but make sure that you are saving your video – vlog, hard drive, etc. You will miss those little voices one day when your boys are taller than you with deep voices 😉 We had our old High 8 tapes transferred to DVD at Costco – best purchase ever!ReplyCancel

    • Kendra Huie - Hi Mona!

I so loved that you did that! I’ve been wanting to do it for my mom just haven’t gotten around to it. We have boxes and boxes of old VHS family tapes! I didn’t know that Costco would transfer them. I was thinking about using a company called Legacy Box. Have you heard of it? They send you a box and you fill it with your old photos and videos. They work their magic and send it back. I’m going to look into Costco now as well!

You’re so right about about capturing their sweet voice. Photography has a special place in my heart but there are things that a photo can’t capture and those precious tiny voices are one of them!ReplyCancel

      • Mona S - I have not heard of Legacy Box. I honestly chose Costco based on price and they said they had never had a problem losing anyone’s tapes (those things seem to happen to me!) Besides getting 2 DVD’S of each transferred tape, you can also view them on Costco’s photo website – great for grandparents!ReplyCancel

        • Kendra Huie - Yay! I’m so glad you mentioned them! Hope my mom doesn’t read this because I’m pretty sure I know what she’s getting for Christmas. 🙂ReplyCancel
