I’m a big fan of vintage photos. There is something about seeing the way people used to live and the clothes they wore that is so fascinating to me. I was out thrifitng one day and came across an old 1940’s photo of newsboy. I instantly fell in love with it! It was a picture of a little boy standing on a street corner next to a big stack of newspapers with a messenger bag slung over his shoulder. After trying to decide if I wanted to pay the hefty $15 price tag for the tiny photo I decided to leave it behind. I couldn’t get that picture out of my mind. Loved the little outfit the boy was wearing and the overall look of the shot. Inspired by the antique photo I came up with the idea to do a themed newsboy mini session in my studio! I love the way it turned out!
I love a themed photo shoot! I hope to do many more of these in 2012. It combines all my favorite things photography, design, fashion, and creativity…….right up my alley!
